Hello everyone!
What a memorable night we had at the Hotel Madrid! In the heart of Seville, we celebrated its 50th anniversary, and what a celebration it was. Between art, music, and flavor, this iconic venue was filled with emotion, friendship, and affection.
Under the direction of Emilio García Amador, the grandson of the founders, the Hotel Madrid remains the welcoming, family-friendly place we all know and love. Emilio has done a wonderful job modernizing the hotel, while maintaining its essence and its firm commitment to art and culture.
One of the most moving moments of the evening was, without a doubt, when Chiqui López, also the grandson of the founders and creator of the anniversary poster, shared beautiful words about his childhood and youth at the Hotel Madrid. He reminded us of the more than 200,000 overnight stays we've had at this hotel and all the wonderful anecdotes and unique people who have stayed here.
And speaking of unique people, what can we say about the spectacular exhibition by Juan Romero de la Rosa? His impressive works, such as "Cúpula Vegetal" and those from the series "Where Light and Shadows Dwell," filled the space with his incredible talent and connection with nature.
In music, Ama Boheme, Mingo Fernández, and Steve Berteletti offered us a vibrant and passionate cultural fusion. The blend of Brazilian, French, and Spanish influences was magical, and their guitars still resonate in our ears.
And if that weren't enough, we had the wonderful surprise of Pive Amador's performance. A true gem that left us all speechless.
Of course, the evening wouldn't be complete without the delicious Arabic wines from Bodegas Sani and the assortment of cheeses and Iberian cured meats, courtesy of JP Nando. A feast fit for a king!
It was exciting to see familiar and new faces, friends, clients, collaborators, and family. Thank you to everyone who came together to celebrate this milestone in the history of Hotel Madrid. Although the party is over, the laughter, stories, and good times will live on.
By the way, we can't forget the news we shared! Next year we will celebrate the 150th anniversary of Manuel Machado's birth. And what better place to pay tribute than at the Hotel Madrid, a place that was home to Manuel and his parents, Teófilo and Cipriana, who was pregnant with Antonio Machado at the time. We look forward to seeing you at this upcoming great cultural event!
Here's to another 50 years of Hotel Madrid. See you at the next celebration!
